Systematic Theology for Everyone

My theological belief system, rooted in systematic theology, is multifaceted and deeply connected to the narrative arc of the Bible. This sacred text, which I regard as a cohesive and continuous story, begins with the Creation narrative in Genesis and traverses through significant events such as the fall of man, culminating in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This pivotal event is seen as God’s master plan for human redemption. The Bible then leads us to the ultimate culmination of all things in the book of Revelation, where it speaks of judgement and the final resolution of the human story.

At its core, the Bible is not just a collection of isolated stories or teachings but a unified narrative that provides a comprehensive understanding of the world's past, present, and future. It delves into the realm of the supernatural, introducing us to a variety of beings created by God, encompassing both forces of good and malevolence. This duality of benevolent and evil entities within the Bible's narrative adds depth and complexity to its overarching theme of the cosmic struggle between good and evil, and God’s ultimate sovereignty over all creation.

This narrative structure of the Bible has profoundly impacted my faith. Understanding the Bible as a single, coherent story rather than a disjointed anthology has helped me to see the world and my place in it more clearly. It offers a lens through which I can comprehend what has happened historically, what is occurring presently, and what is prophesied to happen in the future. This perspective is not merely about historical or future events but is deeply personal, influencing how I understand my own life and experiences within the context of a larger, divinely orchestrated plan.

This systematic approach to theology has solidified my faith, providing a stable foundation for my beliefs. By viewing the Bible as a unified narrative, I can appreciate the interconnectedness of its teachings and how they apply to the broader context of human existence and destiny. It reassures me that there is a purpose and a plan behind the events of the world, both grand and minute. The coherence of this narrative fortifies my belief in a purposeful and intentional divine plan, guiding me in my spiritual journey and shaping my understanding of the world and my role within it.

NOTE: In my testimony, I express how deeply my personal faith and professional dedication were influenced by my exploration of the supernatural elements in the Biblical narrative. Echoing the insights of the esteemed Biblical scholar Michael Heiser, I embraced the idea that the peculiar and mysterious passages in the Bible are often of great importance. This perspective revitalized my study of the Bible, bringing clarity and logic to my systematic theological understanding. Previously fragmented and perplexing aspects began to fit together, revealing the Bible as a unified and coherent narrative from Genesis to Revelation. This understanding greatly strengthened my faith. It's important to note, however, that the plan of salvation is not contingent on these supernatural elements. Belief in every supernatural aspect is not a prerequisite for redemption and one's inherent spiritual inheritance. My earnest hope and prayer for you is that you discover and embrace your own Christian worldview.
